|Title||IT Network Manager|
IT Network Manager
A growing IT and telecommunications consultancy is looking for an IT Network Manager to join them on one of their client sites. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly and motivated company that doesn’t just work hard, but also plays hard, and has a great sense of corporate social responsibility. They take great pride in their work, and you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy social events too.
In this role, you will be providing network and IT management (including line management) to one of the company’s key educational clients (you’ll be working onsite, and so good client skills are essential). Systems you will support include desktops, and servers, infrastructure, and networks. You will have good Windows server experience, including Exchange, Office 365, and networking. Experience with virtualised systems would be a benefit (particularly VMware), and you’ll ideally have at least five years’ experience in a customer-facing role. Experience of managing IT within a school or college is absolutely essential.
As the IT Network Manager, you’ll also be responsible for overseeing a small team of engineers, and will be responsible for managing their workloads, mentoring them, and assisting them to resolve particularly difficult issues. You will also be responsible for procurement and design of IT systems, including the school’s VLE.
Certification in VMware VCP, Citrix CCA, and Microsoft MSCE would be advantageous – but the company will provide training for these and other qualifications.
Working hours are 8am to 6pm on a staggered shift pattern, though some out-of-hours work may be needed from time to time. Regular travel between Ashford (Surrey) and Kensington (London) will be required.
